Hi, I am Mia
Project manager. I am a parent. An expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new phase of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn’t in our long-range plan. As with many international moves, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, fresh routines, heightened expectations. Daily chores seemed more intricate than expected.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock and uncertainty were part of the early days, with plenty learned on the job. Gradually, habits took shape. We found spots that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt secure.
Why I Built Traz Mendi Quor
Most online guidance condensed either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourist content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that hole with practical advice grounded in real life in Switzerland.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from life in Switzerland
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated only when real changes occur
This site ISN'T:
- Not a government tourism resource
- Not a paid review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Switzerland goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Zurich or anywhere within Switzerland, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Mia
